Brittany Brown and Paul Maxwell bring complementary public health and public safety expertise to the Central Florida Overdose Response Strategy team. Brittany serves as a Public Health Analyst with the CDC Foundation in partnership with the Central Florida HIDTA. She holds master’s degrees in public health and community counseling and has more than a decade of experience in behavioral health, clinical research, project management and overdose prevention. Paul has served as Central Florida HIDTA’s Drug Intelligence Officer since 2021, following more than 23 years as a DEA Special Agent and six years in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman and CID Special Agent. Together, they use data, collaboration and cross-sector partnerships to advance overdose prevention.
